josh patrick quinn.

i met josh years ago. on my porch at linder cooperative in ann arbor. or maybe at a moped party in ypsilanti. those were blurry days but he swooped in and gave me a goosebumps book once and always makes the best valentines day gifts.

josh likes faygo. so do i. he has messy days. so do i. a huge source of inspiration for my own journey through sobriety and self growth. always a mess, always checking in. always feeling.

he’s been sending me postcards. and his diy mentality is enough to make a girl want to live in a punk dreamworld forever.

josh puts out records and tapes : HERE

we’re also both really into the stand by me soundtrack.

maryn jones.

maryn stayed at my house last week.  she played songs with amanda and richard in their band WOLFS.  their songs covered important territory that made my heart feel weak. in the best sense.

their sound is eerie and raw. reminds you of how important it is to lose, and feel, and be terrified of how fragile each feeling is.

richard wrote some beautiful notes about their tour, as well as included a digital download of their tape on his blog. incredible words and sounds.

these are projects maryn works on.

when i lived on ethel, richard did a reading on a zine tour and maryn came along for the adventure. the sparks of the april breeze flew and we were brought together in the july heat. sharing food and sharing grins.
